I’m sure you are aware of this but I will mention it anyway. It takes several minutes for those to reach full brightness each time they are turned on.

What’s in a name? In Chicago, the new Orientals there kill and eat pigeons from in the various parks. (“They just walked up and peeped ‘Eat me’. “)

Pigeon there is know as “city chicken” among them.

I do not know about “city chicken” but I remember at the end of WW2 in London when meat was nearly impossible to obtain we had, at times, what was known euphemistically as “street rabbit” which was a a delicate way of describing – yes, you’ve got it – cat. I do not remember the recipe that was used but no one seemed to complain.

It’s Ironic that there are now environmentalist pulling back their support for ethanol & its subsidies. To make ethanol you need to burn triple the amount of fossil fuels & everything behind electric cars are coal plants. All subsidies are meant to artificially increase demand & jack up the cost else where. Whether it’s Alpacas, Housing, Ethanol, Electric Cars, or Cash for Clunkers at the expense of the consumer, but very beneficial to special interest who are already wealthy (Too big to fail) or favored interest/ cronies.

The only true environmentalist are hunter gathers living in caves or bushes refuting modern technology such as electronics, automobiles, air crafts, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, refrigeration, & modern medicine. None of the supporters of Green Energy (politicians & special interest) are close to living a hunter gathering lifestyle not even the next closest thing like a freegan lifestyle.

No. I just want to see the total cost of ownership of say a solar panel and I want to see the entire environmental impact of putting in and using a solar panel.

The panel has to be

manufactured
transported
installed
serviced
disposed of

all of it has environmental impacts and it probably isn’t justified based on the paltry amount of coal not burned at the power plant because of that panel.

All the “bad fuels” that I didn’t use instead I rely on that solar panel, it had better cover all of those environmental costs associated with its lifecycle or like

ethanol – its just a lie
